The White Sox played the Rockies in Denver last week. During one of the telecasts, Hawk and Stoney mentioned the Purple Seats, and although I’ve been to Coors Field, I somehow did not notice them. Anyway, about six rows from the top of the upper deck are a row of seats, painted purple, that are exactly one mile high. Here’s a picture that I took because I was impressed by the pitch-speed board that also identified the type of pitch. You can barely see the Purple Seat row. Here are some better pics.
